Off-peak maintenance of the Huguenot Tunnel

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) has announced that maintenance on the Huguenot Tunnel will take place as from September until November 2019. This will entail lane closures managed by “stop ‘n go” as well as full closures requiring motorists to make use of alternative routes. The maintenance work will only inconvenience traffic from 22:00 until 06:00, Monday to Thursday, during this period. Alternative routes for travel includes Paarl-DuToit’s Kloof Pass-Worcester, Paarl -Gouda -Tulbagh – Worcester or Wellington-Tulbagh-Ceres. Depending on origin and destination, the N2 Grabouw to Villiersdorp is also an option. Maintenance work will be suspended during December 2019 and early January 2020 to accommodate the increased traffic volumes on this route. Kindly share this information with fellow residents so that they are informed of the maintenance work planned on this route.

Buite-spitstyd onderhoudswerk aan Hugenote tonnel

Die Suid-Afrikaanse Nasionale Padagentskap (SANRAL) het aangekondig dat die onderhoud aan die Hugenote Tonnel vanaf September tot November 2019 plaasvind. Dit behels padsluitings by wyse van stop en ry punte sowel as totale sluiting wat vereis dat padgebruikers van alternatiewe roetes gebruik maak. Die onderhoudswerk tydens hierdie periode sal verkeer Maandae tot Vrydae vanaf 22:00 tot 6:00 ontwrig. Alternatiewe roetes sluit in Paarl – Du Toitskloofpas – Worcester, Paarl – Gouda – Tulbagh – Worcester of Wellington – Tulbagh – Ceres. Afhangende van waar reisigers kom en hul eindbestemming, kan die N2 – Grabouw – Villiersdorp roete ook ’n opsie wees. Onderhoudswerk sal gedurende Desember tot vroeg Januarie 2020 opgeskort word om die verhoogde verkeersvolume te akkommodeer. Geliewe die inligting met ander inwoners te deel ten einde soveel mense moontlik op hoogte van die onderhoudswerk te bring.
