NOTICE IN TERMS OF SECTION 21A OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT: MUNICIPAL SYSTEMS ACT (ACT 32 OF 2000), FOR THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE EXISTING SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT(SCM)- AND PREFERENTIAL PROCUREMENT POLICY FRAMEWORK ACT (PPPFA) POLICIES:

The Breede Valley Municipality hereby gives notice in terms of Section 21 (4) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act (No. 32 of 2000), as amended, of its intention to amend and adopt the SCM and PPPFA Policies for a period ending 30 June 2024.
The Policies shall be amended to be in compliance with the new Amended SCM Regulations ( Local Government: Municipal Supply Chain Management Regulations as published in Government Notice 868 of 2005 in terms of section 111 of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No. 56 of 2003) and any amendments (as amended and published by Government Notice 49863 on 14 December 2023) and PPPFA Regulations (Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act Regulations as published in Government Notice 47452, dated 4 November 2022 in terms of Section 5 of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000 (Act No. 5 of 2000), and as amended from time to time.
Any interested person, body or party is hereby invited to submit written representations, comments or objections regarding Breede Valley Municipality’s amended SCM and PPPFA policies.
Any comments or representations against the proposed amendments to the bespoken policies must be properly motivated in writing and must submitted by no later than Friday, 29 March 2024 at 14:00. Such comments or representations must be deposited in the tender box, in a sealed envelope, clearly endorsed: COMMENTS ON NOTICE OF AMENDMENT OF THE SCM AND PPPFA POLICIES:
