PUBLIC NOTICE: OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE: COVID_19 NATIONAL LOCKDOWN
In adherence to the national lockdown as instructed by the President’s office, as a mechanism to combat the Coronavirus COVID_19 pandemic, the Electrical Services Department will effectively stop all operational activities that are not related to electrical emergency work during the lockdown period.
The Electrical Services Department have put the following contingency measures in place:
- All “power-off” complaints and related emergency complaints and queries must be addressed to the Municipal Call Centre ( 0860 12 12 12 or firstname.lastname@example.org )
- Municipal electricians will be on duty during normal working hours and for standby duties after hours to attend to any electrical emergency
- All electrical personnel will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment / gear in order to reduce individual infection with COVID_19 (especially the personnel that will be required to work inside houses and buildings)
As a result, the offices of the Electrical Services Department will be closed to the public and we recommend that all electrical complaints and queries be directed to the Municipal Call Centre for the duration of the said period.
Our department will action a COVID_19 preventative plan during the above period: dedicated municipal teams have been appointed to perform the electrical emergency work (normal – and after hours).
